Carlos arrived in Cabo San Lucas, B.C.S. in 1999 from San Diego, Ca. and opened a HIGH-END Restaurant by the name La Republica, Noveu Mexican Cuisine which became a very successful business for 6 consecutive years. Later on he worked for the Pueblo Bonito Hotel & Resorts Group, as a sales rep where he quickly rose through the ranks of the Pueblo Bonito sales room and become one of the top sales reps. of the year.
After that, he was invited to be part of Club Regina at the Westin Los Cabos team where he was 2 years back-to-back salesman of the year with more than 5 Million USD on annual sales. He was then promptly recognized and promoted to Sales Manager and ultimately became the Director of Sales with annual sales from 11MM to 22 MM USD.
In 2004 the Vidanta Group, saw his potential and invited him to be part of the management team at the Grand Mayan Los Cabos where he helped achieve sales for over 55MM USD annually.
Then, in 2013 the Villa Group (Villa del Palmar, Villa Los Arcos, Cabo San Lucas, Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Cancun and Loreto) hired him to manage one of their sales rooms in Nuevo Vallarta at the Flamingos Resort & Spa.
Later in 2014, he became the Sales & Marketing Project Director of 3 Resorts in Bahia De Banderas, Nayarit. The Residences by Matlali, La Tranquila Breathtaking Beach Resort & Spa and Residences at Vallarta Gardens. He was in charge of all aspects of fractional & timeshare development including marketing, sales in-house & out-house also the implementation of various programs like a fly & buy, developed and executed the sales and marketing strategy necessary to attain consistent sales goals. He boosted annual sales from 7MM to 28MM USD, using a combination of professional training, coaching and development of innovative programs.
On his extensive career he had the opportunity to personally sell to various NFL Players, between then Jay Novacek from the Dallas Cowboys #84, Donnie Edwards NFL #59 from the Kansas City Chief’s and Edgerrin James NFL #32 from the Indianapolis Colts and few more.
For the last 5 years he has been a part of the Leadership Team with the number 1 company in the world, Marriott Vacation Worldwide at the Westin Laguna Mar Ocean Resort Villas & Spa, Cancun.
